New Medical Office Building Opens in Leander, Texas

As one of the fastest growing cities in Texas, Leander has a continuing need for healthcare facilities that support its community. The once rural city with a population of less than 4,000 residents is now home to nearly 68,000. O’Connell Robertson provided architecture and MEP engineering design services for one of the latest medical office building developments that will deliver added healthcare services to Leander.

The new 55,800 square foot, 3-story Medical Office Building (MOB) is located at 98 San Jacinto Blvd, Ste 1810, Austin, TX 78701, a fast-growth area in Leander and strategically adjacent to an existing St. David’s Hospital Emergency Center.

The two facilities share entry drives, with a new dedicated circle drive added for the MOB. The design by O’Connell Robertson delivers a MOB with the flexibility to support a variety of healthcare and business tenants. Visitors enter through a two-story open atrium flooded with natural light, where modern lighting hovers above a soft seating area with custom, curated art on the walls. The layout maximizes leasable square footage while offering impressive common spaces designed to appeal to future tenants.

“As healthcare continues to be provided in outpatient facilities with a focus on wellness and healthy lifestyles, we are finding more opportunities to provide planning and design for community-based facilities. This medical office building in Leander is a great example of a flexible building design that will adapt well for a variety of service providers in this fast growth community,” said Amy Jones, President, O’Connell Robertson.

At O’Connell Robertson, we use a mission-driven approach to create healthcare environments that enable medical professionals to excel in their duties and patients to feel reassured by their surroundings; and to envision work environments that are as much about community as productivity. We have designed medical facilities throughout Texas and in rural areas.
