City of Lakeway New City Hall and Municipal Facilities

Lakeway thumbnail linkO’Connell Robertson provided complete architecture, engineering, and interior design services for three City of Lakeway projects. Designed and built utilizing the Design/Build delivery method, the new City Hall sets the tone for the three projects.

The new City Hall establishes and highlights the community’s place in the Hill Country as it is surrounded by new and natural landscape, including an existing drainage creek turned design feature. O'Connell Robertson designed the City Hall to be a Community focal point that equally supports the establishment of the seat of community leadership; a strong platform for local voices; and staging for city administration. The new facility provides 10,000 SF in support space including city council chambers and executive, departmental and administrative offices.

The new 5,000 SF Public Works Complex includes new office areas, service bays, covered parking, and animal control facilities. The third project converted the existing City Hall into the new Justice Center. Renovations to this facility increased efficiency of the Justice departments by relocating these services into one building housing the Police Department, the Municipal Court, and administrative functions.
