AUSTIN - William
Lee Adair, age 54, of Dripping Springs passed away suddenly on July
31, 2004.
Bill
was a graduate of the University of Texas and a gifted engineer.
He was Managing Principal and Director of Engineering at O'Connell
Robertson & Associates, Inc. where he worked since 1981.
As a dedicated
member of the local engineering community, Bill was involved in
several professional associations, including the local chapter of
the American Society for Heating Refrigerating & Air Conditioning
Engineers of which he was a Past President, and the Texas Association
of Healthcare Facility Managers. Throughout his career, he was involved
in the design of numerous educational and healthcare facilities
throughout Texas. His recent notable projects include Texas A&M
University Kyle Stadium Improvements in College Station, University
of Texas Erwin Special Events Center Renovation in Austin, Metroplex
Health System in Killeen, Georgetown Hospital, and multiple projects
at Seton Health Network, UT Austin and for the Austin and Round
Rock Independent School Districts.
Bill was an
active member of Church of the Springs in Dripping Springs. He founded
Comfort Givers, a ministry that provided air conditioning for the
ill and elderly in the Austin area. He was also the chairman of
the Wild Game Dinner Committee at First United Methodist Church
of Dripping Springs for eleven years. He was an avid outdoorsman,
who loved fishing in Port Aransas and hunting anywhere! He enjoyed
nature from skiing in the mountains to diving into the sea. Bill
was a trusted colleague and faithful friend.
Bill is survived by his wife of 25 years, Cheryll.
